The Doctrine of God, His Divine Attributes.
This is a quality of God which distinguishes Him from all His Creatures.
Holiness is a Biblical Word which means sacred, separated from all sin and morally perfect. No man is in this sense Morally Perfect as we are all tainted by sin through Adam.
Louis Berkof says “That first of all, this is that Divine Perfection by which He is absolutely distinct from all His Creatures, and exalted above them in infinite majesty.” Summary of Christian Doctrine p.37
Exo 15:11 Who is like You, O Jehovah, among the gods? Who is like You, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?

Glorious in Holiness John Gill
Some understand this of the holy place, either heaven, where Christ is glorious above all created beings; or the church, where he shows himself glorious to his people: others, of holy persons, either holy angels, among whom he was at Sinai, and when he ascended on high, and will be when he comes again, in his own and his Father's glory; or the saints, when he will bring them with him, and be glorified in them; but rather it is to be understood of the attribute of his holiness, which is eminently and perfectly in him; in his person, with respect to both his natures, divine and human; the glory of which is displayed in all the works he has wrought, especially in the great work of redemption, which was undertook both for the honour of the holiness and righteousness of God, and to redeem his people from sin, and make them righteous and holy: it appears in the holy doctrines he taught, and in the holy commandments and ordinances he enjoined his people, and in his judgments on his enemies; in all which it is plainly seen that he loves righteousness and hates iniquity, and there is none like him for it; there is none holy as the Lord among angels or men, 1Sa_2:2.
Isa 57:15 For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. RV
The Holy God is free from all Moral Impurity and Sin, and thus He is Morally Perfect. L.B. P. 37
Therefore in the presence of such a Holy One man is deeply conscious of His SIN.
Job 34:10 "You people who have understanding, listen to me. It is unthinkable that God would ever do evil or that the Almighty would ever do wicked things.GW
Isaiah’s Vision of God
Isa 6:1 In the year King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a high and lofty throne. The bottom of his robe filled the temple.
Isa 6:2 Angels were standing above him. Each had six wings: With two they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they flew.
Isa 6:3 They called to each other and said, "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of Armies! The whole earth is filled with his glory."
Isa 6:4 Their voices shook the foundations of the doorposts, and the temple filled with smoke.
Isa 6:5 So I said, "Oh, no! I'm doomed. Every word that passes through my lips is sinful. I live among people with sinful lips. I have seen the king, the LORD of Armies!"
Isa 6:6 Then one of the angels flew to me. In his hand was a burning coal that he had taken from the altar with tongs.
Isa 6:7 He touched my mouth with it and said, "This has touched your lips. Your guilt has been taken away, and your sin has been forgiven."
Hab 1:13 Your eyes are too pure to look at evil. You can't watch wickedness. Why do you keep watching treacherous people? Why are you silent when wicked people swallow those who are more righteous than they are?
Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil - The prophet repeats his complaint (as troubling thoughts are accustomed to come back, after they have been repelled,), in order to answer it more strongly. All sin is hateful in God’s sight, and in His Holy Wisdom He cannot endure to “look toward iniquity.” As man turns away from sickening sights, so God’s abhorrence of wrong is pictured by His not being able to “look toward it.” If He looked toward them, they must perish Psa_104:32. Light cannot co-exist with darkness, fire with water, heat with cold, deformity with beauty, foulness with sweetness, nor is sin compatible with the Presence of God, except as its Judge and punisher.
Personal Holiness
Holiness
In the highest sense belongs to God (Isa_6:3; Rev_15:4), and to Christians as consecrated to God's service, and in so far as they are conformed in all things to the will of God (Rom_6:19, Rom_6:22; Eph_1:4; Tit_1:8; 1Pe_1:15). Personal holiness is a work of gradual development. It is carried on under many hindrances, hence the frequent admonitions to watchfulness, prayer, and perseverance (1Co_1:30; 2Co_7:1; Eph_4:23, Eph_4:24).
If we are going to Walk with God and gaze on His majesty then we are going to need to be changed into His Likeness..
This comes to us through our understanding and belief in the Finished Work of Christ on Calvary. See Romans 6,7,8 for our death with Christ, our Resurrection to newness of LIFE and our walk in the Spirit as the True Sons of a Holy God.
