My Summary of Christian Doctrine : The Person of Christ:
The States ( or Conditions) of Christ in relation to the Law.
Notes from Louis Berkhof : Summary of Christian Doctrine
In the State of His Humiliation He was God’s Servant under the Law. In His Exaltation He is Lord of all and therefore He is above the Law.

Christ's Humiliation by Men

Memorize:

Gal 3:13  Christ has purchased our freedom from the curse of the Law by becoming accursed for us--because "CURSED IS EVERY ONE WHO IS HANGED UPON A TREE."

Gal 4:4  But, when the time was fully come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born subject to Law,
Gal 4:5  in order to purchase the freedom of all who were subject to Law, so that we might receive recognition as sons.
Php 2:6  Although from the beginning He had the nature of God He did not reckon His equality with God a treasure to be tightly grasped.
Php 2:7  Nay, He stripped Himself of His glory, and took on Him the nature of a bondservant by becoming a man like other men.
Php 2:8  And being recognized as truly human, He humbled Himself and even stooped to die; yes, to die on a cross.
Php 2:9  It is in consequence of this that God has also so highly exalted Him, and has conferred on Him the Name which is supreme above every other,
Php 2:10  in order that in the Name of JESUS every knee should bow, of beings in Heaven, of those on the earth, and of those in the underworld,
Php 2:11  and that every tongue should confess that JESUS CHRIST is LORD, to the glory of God the Father.
The Lutheran Hour
  1. The State of His Humiliation.

This consists in that Christ laid aside His Divine Majesty, which was His as the sovereign Ruler of the Universe and assumed human nature in the form of a servant; that he, the Supreme Lawgiver, became subject to the demands and curse of the Law. (see Scriptures above.) Note these stages in His Humiliation
The Angel announced to Mary the conception by the Holy Spirit
.
  1. The Incarnation and the Birth of Christ.

In the Incarnation the Son of god really took on Human Flesh and became part of the Human Race. He did not bring his humanity from Heaven as the Anabaptists claim for he was born of Mary.
Joh 1:14  And the Word became flesh, and tabernacled among us. And we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and of truth.

1Jn 4:2  By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God;

The Bible Teaches the Virgin Birth in:
Isa 7:14  So, the Lord Himself shall give you a sign. Behold, the virgin will conceive and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call His name Immanuel. MKJV

Mat 1:20  And as he thought upon these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take to you Mary as your wife. For that in her is fathered of the Holy Spirit. MKJV

The Conception by the Holy Spirit kept Christ free from sin from the very beginning.
Luk 1:35  And the angel answered and said to her, The Holy Spirit shall come on you, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow you. Therefore also that Holy One which will be born of you shall be called Son of God.
