b. Fulfillment (cont.)

The Jewish Leaders and the people refused to meet the Conditions of the Kingdom of Heaven so they consequently lost the privileges of the Kingdom.

Mat 21:43  Therefore I say to you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you and given to a nation bringing out its fruits.
But this did not Take God by Surprise as He foresaw Israel’s Failure.
Isa 6:9  And He said, Go, and tell this people, You hear indeed, but do not understand; and seeing you see, but do not know.
Isa 6:10  Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn back, and be healed.
Isa 6:11  Then I said, Lord, how long? And He answered, Until the cities are wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land laid waste, a desolation,
Joh 12:37  But though He had done so many miracles before them, yet they did not believe on Him,
Joh 12:38  so that the saying of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke, "Lord, who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?"
Joh 12:39  Therefore they could not believe, because Isaiah said again,
Joh 12:40  "He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, so that they should not see with their eyes nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them."
Joh 12:41  Isaiah said these things when he saw His glory and spoke of Him.
Joh 12:42  Still, however, even out of the rulers, many did believe on Him. But because of the Pharisees they did not confess, lest they should be put out of the synagogue;
Joh 12:43  for they loved the glory of men more than the glory of God.

God’s Plan Overrule Israel’s failure.
Hitherto this plan had been kept secret: Israel's rejection of the Messiah would make opportunity for God’s Chosen people to be taken from among the gentiles.
Rom 11:11  I ask, however, "Have they stumbled so as to be finally ruined?" No, indeed; but by their lapse salvation has come to the Gentiles in order to arouse the jealousy of the descendants of Israel;
Rom 11:12  and if their lapse is the enriching of the world, and their overthrow the enriching of the Gentiles, will not still greater good follow their restoration?

Act 15:13  When they had finished speaking, James said, "Brethren, listen to me.
Act 15:14  Symeon has related how God first looked graciously on the Gentiles to take from among them a People to be called by His name.

Rom 9:25  So also in Hosea He says, "I WILL CALL THAT NATION MY PEOPLE WHICH WAS NOT MY PEOPLE, AND I WILL CALL HER BELOVED WHO WAS NOT BELOVED.
Rom 9:26  AND IN THE PLACE WHERE IT WAS SAID TO THEM, 'NO PEOPLE OF MINE ARE YOU,' THERE SHALL THEY BE CALLED SONS OF THE EVERLIVING GOD."

The Gentile Believers along with the Jewish believers in Jesus should constitute a company known as the “church”.

Ephesians 3:4  By means of that explanation, as you read it, you can judge of my insight into the truth of Christ;
Eph 3:5  which in earlier ages was not made known to the human race, as it has now been revealed to His holy Apostles and Prophets through the Spirit--
Eph 3:6  I mean the truth that the Gentiles are joint heirs with us Jews, and that they form one body with us, and have the same interest as we have in the promise which has been made good in Christ Jesus through the Good News,

Jesus Himself gave His Disciples a Glimpse of the Church Age

This age was to intervene between His First Coming and His Second Coming. This was a “Mystery” (something hidden and not revealed in the OT)”
In Matthew 8:1-12 we have the inspiring account of the gentile centurion with his unwavering faith. this contrasted to the many Jews who did not welcome the Messiah. He had a Vision of many gentiles from all lands entering the Kingdom which Israel rejected.
What a Remarkable prediction Jesus made in: Mat 16:18  And I declare to you that you are Peter, and that upon this Rock I will build my Church, and the might of Hades shall not triumph over it.
Mat 16:19  I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of the Heavens; and whatever you bind on earth shall remain bound in Heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall remain loosed in Heaven."
His Own Nation did not welcome Him.
Jesus was excommunicated from the very nation that was His own.
Mat 21:42  "Have you never read in the Scriptures," said Jesus, "'THE STONE WHICH THE BUILDERS REJECTED HAS BEEN MADE THE CORNERSTONE: THIS CORNERSTONE CAME FROM THE LORD, AND IS WONDERFUL IN OUR EYES'?
Mat 21:43  "That, I tell you, is the reason why the Kingdom of God will be taken away from you, and given to a nation that will exhibit the power of it.
Compare 1 Peter 2:4-9

The Cross was a central part of God’s program for Messiah.

See Luke 24:25-48
and Mat 16:21  From this time Jesus began to explain to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer much cruelty from the Elders and the High Priests and the Scribes, and be put to death, and on the third day be raised to life again.
The disciples did not understand the significance of this event. On His cross was Written, “THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS”.

Jesus ascends into heaven
The Suffering Messiah (Isaiah 53 :7-9) rose from the dead Is 53:1-11 and as Daniel had foreseen Ascended to the right hand of God.
Dan 7:13  I saw in the night visions, and behold, One like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of Days, and they brought Him near before Him.
Dan 7:14  And dominion and glory was given Him, and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations and languages, should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion which shall not pass away, and His kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

Mat 28:18  And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, All authority is given to Me in Heaven and in earth.
Mat 28:19  Therefore go and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

Messiah is the One who God has authorized to save Israel and the nations from sin and death, and to rule over them as the Lord and Master of their Lives.
