The Doctrine of God: The God of Creation Part 3

Human substitutes for the the Doctrine of the God of Creation .

Introduction

In the first lessons on the God of Creation we looked at the Fact that God created the heavens and the earth and all that is in them, partly without the use of pre-existent materials and partly out of material that is by its nature unfit. He did this for the manifestation of His glory. This was the look at Creation ex-nihilo, out of nothing.
Then we looked at the Time of Creation which the bible says was “in the beginning”Genesis 1:1.Before the beginning was the timeless eternity.
Then we showed that the Creation was for the revelation of the Glory of God.
Col 1:16  For all things were created in Him, the things in the heavens, and the things on the earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers, all things were created through Him and for Him.
Col 1:17  And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist.

Substitutes for the the Doctrine of the God of Creation.

Notes from The Summary of Christian Doctrine by Louis Berkhof
Look at these Scriptures closely:
Dee Brestin's Image
Psa 14:1  To the choirmaster. Of David. The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds, there is none who does good.
Psa 14:2  The LORD looks down from heaven on the children of man, to see if there are any who understand, who seek after God.
Psa 14:3  They have all turned aside; together they have become corrupt; there is none who does good, not even one.
it is written, "The just shall live by faith."
Rom 1:18  For the wrath of God is revealed from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
Rom 1:19  because the thing which may be known of God is clearly revealed within them, for God revealed it to them.
Rom 1:20  For the unseen things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being realized by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, for them to be without excuse.
Rom 1:21  Because, knowing God, they did not glorify Him as God, neither were thankful. But they became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Rom 1:22  Professing to be wise, they became fools

Those who reject the Doctrine of Creation resort to one of three theories.
  1. Some say that original matter is eternal, and out of it the world arose. This was either by mere chance, or by some higher directing force. But  this is impossible because you cannot have two eternals and therefore two Infinites alongside each other.
  2. Others maintain that God and the world are essentially one, and that the world is a necessary issue (outflow) of the Divine Being. But this view robs God of His Power of self-determination, and men of their freedom and of their moral responsibility and character. It makes God responsible for all evil in the world.
  3. Still others take refuge in the Theory of Evolution. But this is clearly a mistake, since evolution offers no explanation of the world. It presupposes something that evolves.

Because of these views men are given over to foolish thinking which finally ends in God giving them over to homosexuality and Pornos. See Romans 1  20-32

Psalm 14:1  To the choirmaster.

BUT WE ALSO SEE, AS THE PSALM PROGRESSES,
THAT WE ARE ALL FOOLS UNTIL HIS LOVE BREAKS THROUGH.
IN KEITH GREEN’S SHORT TIME ON EARTH, HOW I REMEMBER HIM
SELLING HIS RECORDS FOR “WHATEVER PEOPLE COULD PAY”
STIRRING THE LUKEWARM CHURCH WITH HIS PASSION
SINGING FROM HIS TRANSFORMED HEART:
WHAT I AM PRAYING FOR EACH OF US THIS LENT,
IS THAT WE WILL NOT LIVE LIKE FOOLS,
BUT SEEK HIM WITH ALL OUR HEARTS,
FOR AS THIS PSALM PROMISES,
HIS LOVE WILL KEEP BREAKING THROUGH.
FOR GOD IS PRESENT WITH HIS FORGIVEN CHILDREN..
