Introduction.

God was involved with the Universe from the very Beginning. We are not dealing with some Myths or Legends as some people think. There are more Myths and Legends in the present day belief in ‘nothing made everything by a mysterious ‘Big Bang’’; whenever and and however is still unknown. The Theory of Evolution suits those who wish to exclude God from His Universe. But after centuries of postulating they are still as uncertain about what they believe eminent Scientist, Stephen Gould, who intimates that they still don't know how it all began

  1. The Time of Creation.

The Bible teaches us clearly that God created the world ‘in the beginning’. That is, at the beginning of all temporal things. back of this beginning lies a timeless eternity. The first part of this creation work was strictly “creation out of nothing”in Genesis 1:1; i.e. without the use of pre-existent materials.
The expression “creation out of nothing” is not found in the Bible but in one of the Apocryphal Books. 2 Maccabees 7:28 However the idea is clearly taught in such verses as :

Gen 1:1  In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Psa 33:9  For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood.

Psa 148:5  Let them praise the name of Jehovah; for He commanded, and they were created.

Heb 11:3  By faith we understand that the ages were framed by a word of God, so that the things being seen not to have come into being out of the things that appear. MKJV
Heb 11:3  Through faith we understand that the worlds came into being, and still exist, at the command of God, so that what is seen does not owe its existence to that which is visible. WNT

b. The Final Purpose of Creation.

Some find the final end or purpose of Creation in the happiness of man. They say that God could not make Himself the final end, because he is sufficient unto Himself. But it would seem to be self evident that God does not exist for man. The creature cannot be the final end of creation.
The Bible teaches us clearly that God created the world for the manifestation of His Glory. Naturally, the Revelation of the Glory of God is not intended as an empty show to be admired by the creature, but also aims at promoting their welfare and attuning their hearts to the Praise of the Creator.
Isa 43:6  I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Do not keep back; bring My sons from far and My daughters from the ends of the earth;
Isa 43:7  everyone who is called by My name; for I have created him for My glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.

Isa 60:21  Your people also will all be righteous; they will inherit the land forever, the branch of My planting, the work of My hands, so that I may be glorified.

Eze 36:21  But I had pity for My holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the nations where they went.
Eze 36:22  Therefore say to the house of Israel, So says the Lord Jehovah: I do not do this for your sake, O house of Israel, but for My holy name's sake, which you have profaned among the nations where you went.
Luk 2:14  Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good-will toward men.

Rom 9:17  For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, "Even for this same purpose I have raised you up, that I might show My power in you, and that My name might be declared throughout all the earth."
Col 1:16  For all things were created in Him, the things in the heavens, and the things on the earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers, all things were created through Him and for Him.
